Liner Attachment FAQs

The Quick Stick™ tabs adhere well to the plastic part of the mask but don’t stick well to the silicone. Is there something that can be done to improve this?

Some masks, such as the Respironics Amara, Fisher & Paykel Forma and and FlexiFit 432 have a large area of exposed silicone. We suggest using the large size liner with these products. The large liner’s Quick Stick™ Tabs will easily reach to the hard plastic part of the mask and optimize the attachment.

ResMed AirFit F20 Mask – Where do I attach the Quick Stick™ tabs?

We recommend one of two different options for attaching the Silent Night liner to the AirFit F20 series:

  • Option 1: Attach the upper Quick Stick™ tabs by tucking them under the harness attachment wings. See IMAGE 1.  Attach the lower Quick Stick™ tabs as normal. See IMAGE 2.
  • Option 2: Separate the Harness Frame from the Inner Shell according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Attach the Quick Stick™ tabs of the Silent Night liner to the Inner Shell as shown in IMAGE 3.  Reassemble the Harness Frame and Inner Shell according to the manufacturer’s instructions. See IMAGE 2.

With either Option be careful to not damage your mask. Pursue Option 2 at your own risk. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

ResMed AirTouch F20 Mask – Where do I attach the Quick Stick™ tabs?

Align the top edge of the liner with the top of the memory foam. The lower Quick Stick tabs of the liner will be able to reach the hard plastic on the bottom side of the mask. Even a small amount of adhesive contact to the hard plastic is adequate to hold the liner in place. Separating the Mask Cushion from the Headgear Frame may ease liner attachment*.

*Follow the manufacturer’s instructions if you choose to separate the Mask Cushion from the Headgear Frame. Be careful to not damage your mask. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

ResMed AirFit F10 Mask – Where do I attach the Quick Stick™ tabs?

We recommend one of three different options for attaching the Silent Night liner to the AirFit F10 series:

  • Option 1: Attach the upper Quick Stick™ tabs directly onto the inside of the harness attachment wings. See IMAGE 1.
  • Option 2: Attach the upper Quick Stick™ tabs directly underneath the harness attachment wings. See IMAGE 2.
  • Option 3: Separate the Harness Frame from the Inner Shell according to the Manufacturer’s instructions. Attach the Quick Stick™ tabs of the Silent Night liner to the Inner Shell as indicated in IMAGE 3. Reassemble the Shell and Harness Frame according to the manufacturer’s instructions. See IMAGE 4.

Option 3 provides an excellent and secure fit, however, be careful to not damage your mask during disassembly and reassembly of the mask. Pursue this option at your own risk. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

ResMed Quattro Air Mask – Where do I attach the Quick Stick™ tabs?

  • Option 1: Standard attachment – attach liner to exterior of mask. See IMAGE 1.
  • Option 2: Separate the Harness Frame from the Inner Shell according to the Manufacturer’s instructions. Attach the Quick Stick™ tabs of the Silent Night liner to the Inner Shell as indicated in IMAGE 2. Reassemble the Shell and Harness Frame according to the manufacturer’s instructions. See IMAGE 3.

Option 2 provides an excellent and secure fit, however, be careful to not damage your mask during disassembly and reassembly of the mask. Pursue this option at your own risk. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

Respironics Wisp Mask – Where do I attach the Quick Stick™ tabs?

  1. Remove the mask from the harness.
  2. Attach the tabs at the base of the mask, being careful not go over the last two ridges.
  3. Re-assemble the mask to harness.
You will see some silicone but when the average size nose enters the mask, the silicone will fold inward and the Liner should provide significant protection, although depending on nose shape it may be slightly less than 100% protection.

ResMed AirFit F30 Mask – Where do I attach the Quick Stick™ tabs?

We recommend one of two different options for attaching the Silent Night liner to the AirFit F30 series:

  • Option 1: Attach the upper Quick Stick™ tabs to the top of the Harness Frame. See IMAGE 1.  Attach the lower Quick Stick™ tabs by tucking them under the Harness Frame attachment wings.
See IMAGE 4.

With either Option be careful to not damage your mask. Pursue Option 2 at your own risk. Although these parts are designed to be separated and reconnected, improper or repeated disassembly and reassembly could cause the parts to wear out or break.

General FAQs

What solutions do you have for the forehead pad?

With our cushioned liner and enhanced seal less strap and headgear pressure is necessary. We have found that generally an additional forehead pad is not needed.

I already have a nose bridge sore, should I start using your product?

Silent Night Liners are intended for use with “intact” skin. Please allow your skin to heal before using our product.

A new liner seems to seal better after I’ve used it for a few minutes. Is this really the case?

Yes, the seal often improves during the first few minutes of use as the cushioned liner conforms to the mask and the user’s face. To speed up this process, some users will “wiggle” the mask a couple times while it is on their face. This will help a brand new liner “settle in” and quickly achieve optimal sealing performance.

Cleaning FAQs

Can I wash the Silent Night Liner?

We do not recommend washing the Silent Night liner. If you do choose to hand rinse the liner, the antimicrobial properties should be retained.

Should I remove the liner when I wash my mask?

  • Yes, if you are using soap and water.
  • If you are cleaning with a CPAP wipe, you can generally leave the liner attached.

I wash my mask every day with soap and water. Will I be able to re-attach the Quick Stick™ tabs 6-8 times?

If you like to wash your mask everyday, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Remove the liner from the mask.
  2. Wash and dry the mask according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  3. Re-attach the liner, and you’re ready to go.

The adhesive tabs should retain their stickiness for 6 to 8 consecutive days of removal and re-application. However, depending on the type of mask you have, there can be varying degrees of adhesion.  With most masks, when you remove the tabs it will take significant force and there is risk of distorting the fabric.  So we recommend grasping very close to each adhesive dot and removing each tab individually.

Also, when the liner is removed it is very easy for a Quick Stick™ tab to stick to itself, or to another tab, etc.  So, it helps to keep the release strips nearby and put them back over the exposed adhesive when the liner is not attached to the mask.
